How we got here

2000
Two computers. One ambition.
Two future co-founders got their first computers and a shared conviction: technology can change the world. They started tinkering — and never stopped.
2002
First websites go live.
One co-founder launched an IT blog. The other built a fan site dedicated to Nirvana. Neither was profitable. Both were formative.
2003
The CD-R business.
Most internet users were on 56 kbps dial-up — downloading a film could take days, or never finish at all. So the founders launched a simple service: send us a list of URLs, pay $10, and receive a CD-R with all your files by snail mail. It worked.
2004
A server, four shareholders, and a home internet cable.
They discovered that one hosting provider was paying colocation clients for the traffic they generated. Four future shareholders pooled their savings to rent the first server. With no budget for a fast uplink, they seeded the initial traffic from a home broadband connection. Their personal projects moved to the server. Traffic followed.
2005–2010
Building a hosting company.
The logical next step: launch their own hosting service, so customers' traffic would generate revenue. Traffic payments eventually dried up, but the hosting business — and the hard-won knowledge behind it — remained.
2010s
From hosting to IT outsourcing.
Running a hosting company is demanding and margin-thin. But it forced the team to master every layer of the stack: servers, networks, security, automation. That expertise became the foundation of a full-service IT outsourcing company.
Today
22 engineers. Two hemispheres. One SLA.
UpSystems has grown into a team of 22 engineers based in Cyprus and New Zealand, providing 24/7 managed IT services to clients across the globe — with a 5-minute incident response and 99.95% uptime guarantee.
