What is DevOps as a Service?

A managed DevOps service that delivers the same outcomes as hiring a senior DevOps engineer (CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring) at a fixed monthly price per project, with no recruitment or onboarding overhead.

Do you provide Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)?

We provide managed IaaS: we design, provision and run your cloud infrastructure — compute, storage and networking — on the major cloud infrastructure providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on Hetzner or Proxmox where that fits better. We are not a hyperscaler; we operate your infrastructure on them, with the automation, monitoring and on-call that keep it reliable. If the public cloud platforms still need choosing and comparing first, that is part of the engagement.

How much does DevOps as a Service cost at UpSystems?

From €500 per month per project. The fee covers ongoing CI/CD maintenance, monitoring, and on-call incident response. A senior in-house DevOps engineer in Europe typically costs €6,000–10,000 per month fully loaded, more in Western Europe.

What counts as one project?

One project is a single application or environment we operate end to end — its CI/CD pipelines, containers, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring and on-call. The €500/month covers planned engineering and 24/7 incident response for that environment; large one-off migrations or net-new build-outs are scoped separately. Multiple apps or clusters are quoted as additional projects. See the full breakdown on our pricing page.

Which technologies do you support?

Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, RHEL, AlmaLinux), Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Prometheus + Grafana, ELK Stack, Nginx, Helm, ArgoCD, and major clouds — AWS, GCP, Azure, Hetzner.

How quickly do you respond to incidents?

5 minutes. 24/7 on-call coverage is included in the monthly fee, backed by a 99.95% uptime SLA.

Is there a long-term contract or lock-in?

No. Engagements are month-to-month, you can cancel at any time. We do not require multi-year commitments.

Do you work with existing infrastructure or only greenfield setups?

Both. Most engagements start with an audit of the existing environment (Docker, CI scripts, server configuration), followed by incremental improvements. Greenfield setups are also welcome.
